• BOSS — Backers Over Strong (to the field); somebody comes down to the boundary
• BOW — Backers Over Weak (to the boundary); somebody comes down to the field
• STACKED — 3-LB box, Mike over the center

Marks: W Will · M Mike (over the ball) · $ the field overhang. Alert BOSS / BOW: how are they playing the open gap?

S — Secondary BC · BS · FS · FC

• 1 HI — middle of the field CLOSED → expect Cover 1 / 3
• 2 HI — middle of the field OPEN → expect Cover 2 / 4 / 6
• NO DEEP — expect Cover 0 / PRESSURE

BC/FC = boundary & field corner · BS/FS = boundary & field safety. Boundary is the side the ball's hash is on — ball on the left hash → left is the boundary, right is the field. On a single-high look, which safety is deep vs. down rotates with the coverage.

Defensive Indicators what tips it off

• 1 · ALIGNMENT — numbers or odd looks
• 2 · STANCE — do they change how they look?
• 3 · DEMEANOR — creeping, staggered, stumbling

Offensive Personnel who's on the field

First digit = running backs, second digit = tight ends. Everyone left over is a receiver (5 skill spots − RBs − TEs). Marks: QB Q · OL LT·LG·C·RG·RT · WR X·Z·H · TE Y then U · RB T then F. Three TEs on? the 3rd TE takes F and the 2nd back becomes H.
